Yvonne Zirrith

Upon graduation from boot camp in Orlando, FL, she attended Equipment Operator school in Gulfport, MS. As an enlisted Seabee, she mobilized in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004 and earned her Expeditionary Warfare Qualification in 2008.
In 2005, LCDR Zirrith joined Monroe Central VFW Post 262 and has been an active member as the Post Commander 2019-2025. Achieving All-State Post Commander 2022-2023. She was also an All-American District 8 Commander 2022-2023.
LCDR Zirrith began her law enforcement career in 2007 with the Middlesex County Sheriff Office as a Deputy Sheriff. She was promoted to Sheriff SGT in January 2018.
In 2009, she was selected to be a Mustang Officer and was commissioned as an Ensign, Navy Security Officer and is skilled in all aspects of Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection.
Still Serving our country with over 35 years of active/reserve U.S. Naval service, LCDR Zirrith has served as Commanding Officer of the following Navy Reserve units: Navy Security Force NSA Naples, Italy; Navy Security Force Office of Naval Intelligence, Wash, DC; Navy Security Force -Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ.
LCDR Zirrith is currently the Commanding Officer of the Reserve NCIS Protective Operations Unit, Wash, DC.
As a ceremonial vocalist for the U.S. Navy, she has performed for the last 25 years for various MLB, NFL and military ceremonies across the Northeast.
Her personal awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (2 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (5 awards), Army Achievement Medal, Coast Guard Special Operations Service Medal and various other individual and unit decorations.
