Members continue to volunteer for local churches our fire department boy scouts the Vineland Memorial Home and the USMA West Point Field Force Team. Of particular interest was the membership participation in the funeral for Stephan Lopes   Steve was a decorated WWII veteran wounded (Purple Heart) in the South Pacific.
He served our country and veterans as a Past Commander of the Walker Dyer American Legion Post 181 Penns Grove and became the State Commander of the New Jersey American Legion in 1964-65. He was a VFW member.
Steve served as a Trustee & Chairman of the Vineland Memorial Home for 43 years receiving the State of New Jersey Commendation Medal for his dedication leadership and service to veterans. Rest Easy Soldier we have the watch.
