On November 11 2025 Post 2290 hosted a Veterans Day Ceremony at the Post attended by approximately 50 people. Following the Ceremony refreshments were provided to the attendees. Hours 40; Expenses $750: AM
On November 17 2025 Post 2290 hosted the Somerset County VoTech Veterans Day Event at the Post attended by approximately 350 Veterans Students and Gold Star Families. Hours 40; Expenses $1000: AM
At the Post Meeting this month the membership approved donations to:
NJ Special Olympics - $200
USO - $200
American Cancer Society - $500
Adopt-a-platoon - $200
Tunnel to Towers Foundation - $500
Members of the Post participated in a care package packing event for troops of the 42nd Regional Support Command currently deployed to Kuwait/Iraq. The post also paid the postage to send these 16 care packages to these troops. Hours 20; Expenses $500:CA
The Post continues to host a VA Veterans Center Outreach every Thursday providing an area of the facility for use by the VA Therapist/Counselor to meet with Veterans requiring counseling and benefit assistance. Hours 15 - Value $600: CA
As BSA Troop/Pack 193's Charter Organization it donates use of the various areas of the building to the Troop & Pack for meetings and activities. VFW personnel also work with Troop/Pack 193 leadership to assist in achieving their organizational objectives - Hours 20 - Value $800: YA |
