On Sunday September 13 2025 Post 2290 hosted a 9/11 GWOT Remembrance Event and Veterans Fair which was attended by more than 150 individuals. This event was a District supported event in which all Posts from District 15 participated. Representatives of over 15 other organizations participated in the Fair and Memorial Event. Refreshments including hot dogs and hamburgers and salads were provided to the attendees. 300 Hours $1200 Costs (food and other materials)
On September 20 2025 Post 2290 hosted a POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony at the Post attended by more than 50 attendees. Following the Ceremony refreshments were provided to the attendees. 40 Hours $700 Expenses..
At the Post Meeting this month the membership approved donations to:
Somerset County Food Bank - $100
Wounded Warriors - $500
Wreaths Across America - $1000
VFW National Veterans and Military Support Program - $250
TOTAL VALUE - $1850
YA As BSA Troop/Pack 193's Charter Organization it donates use of the various areas of the building to the Troop & Pack for meetings and activities. VFW personnel also work with Troop/Pack 193 leadership to assist in achieving their organizational objectives - Hours 20 - Value $800 YA
